Deeper Side of Seven

AGOL137
I wanted to explore the deeper side of what is happening in life. Seven is a spiritual number, and it begins to develop more meaning the farther you go. This piece is all about searching for the meaning of life and beginning to appreciate it.

I Am Water, I Am Fire

AGOL134
My astrological sign is Aquarius, so I’ve always been drawn to water. But I’m also fiery; I’ve got some amazing strength in me.

I Waited and It Came 1

Sometimes you have to find the calm to let the creativity find you. Trust yourself.

In Living Color

AGOL141
I wanted to express the desire to live life as openly and freely as possible. We should let our passion and excitement for life show.

Insanity Lives Here

AGOL139
This painting is a peek at life inside my head; it’s me in a nutshell. I’m a little nutty, but that creates beauty, honesty, and excitement.

Join Me in the Celebration

AGOL144
This was painted at a high time in my life when things were falling into place and a lot of great things were going on. It’s a state of being that should be celebrated and commemorated.

Never Too Much

AGOL130
I’ve always been the one who was “too much.” Too much energy, too much noise, too much desire. It used to make me pull back or watch who was around me, but now I know that I like how much I am. It takes a lot of energy to manifest all that I want, and I have it.

New to the City 1

AGOL127
There is a collection of found objects from the streets of San Diego in this piece. I wanted to share the feeling of being in a new city and having the excitement of finding special spots or treasures and getting introduced to fresh people and situations.

Silver Lining

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

AGOL136
Rainbows are my thing. They are a symbol of all chakras aligning and the good coming out of a storm. They have held a significance in my life during my greatest times of tribulation, and their presence always reassures me that life will right itself again.

Summer in Bloom

AGOL135
Summer has always been my favorite time of year. I hated school when I was young, so summer meant freedom for me. It’s all about the smell of freshly cut grass, bike rides, swimming pools, and the untethered ability to explore and play.

Their Treasure Chest

AGOL140
Oh, what treasures we would find: earrings and pendants and pearls and more. Keys and lockets and watches galore, things left over from World War. All these treasures we would find whenever we snooped in their dresser drawer. We played and played until they shooed us away. Later we grew up, and soon the treasures couldn’t stay. As adults, we snooped again, and the treasures still remained—but we lost those who would shoo us away.
